hey guys I've got a 6n2 (e)

I've recent bought a new set of headlights due to my old ones being foggy

i changed the side lights to white LED ones .... but when i have my dipped beam on them look pritty shit with the white LED sidelights

i was gonna buy a HID kit for the car..... but due to the standard 6N2 headlights nt having globes they could be to bright and dangrous to people .....

i was gonna just buy some white bulbs but i just dnt know what type to get and stuff...

dnt want to get shitty blue ones just lookin for pure white dipped beam bulbs .....

i did find this set on ebay btw ( should i buy em !??! )

As there are diodes around they reflect the light to mae them look like good and proper sidelight instead of shitty cheap ones, also i know there green but I'm sure you can get white ones.

AND... i bought th same Xenon kit but there are other sellers from the uk to avois postage.

i bought this set for my mates golf and have the same for my polo, they suit each other prity well.

Hope this helps. also I've ha three sets of sidelights al saying there super bright, so just watch out and read ads.

Phillips diamond vision are a crisp white colour with a slight tinge of blue, look very smart i have them and would reccomend them.

In regards to HID fitting please familiarise yourself with the highly flawed and poorly written January 2012 regulation changes.

So long as your lights are adjusted correctly, and you pick a sensible temperature, you shouldn't have any issues regarding fitting HID's to your car.

A popular product of ours is the H7R bulbs, which have been designed to help avoid light scatter.

I've been picking holes in that Vosa document since it came out.

Found out my aunties scenic came from the factory with HID's and has no washer system or self-leveling, so this is just going to become an MOT testers nightmare.

So long as your lights are adjusted correctly, and you pick a sensible temperature, you shouldn't have any issues regarding fitting HID's to your car.

I've never had a problem with the Police, and it's just passed an MOT with them. The guy commented on them, but said the pattern was fine (I've got H7R's)..

Exactly, its way too open for abuse/misinterpretation/anal MOT testers.

There are a few cars that had HID's from the factory but no self-leveling or washers, what happens to these as they will also be on the wrong side of this.

My favourite is this...

Oh really......mine are 3000k YELLOW HID's so no bluish tinge just a slight flash of greener yellow on ignition.

They've said every year for the last 5 years that come the 'new year', aftermarket HID's will be illegal, and wont pass MOT's, they need this, that & the other. The bottom line is this; it'll never happen, theres too many loop holes, as Cymro pointed out.

Buy a sensible temperature, make sure your lights are levelled correctly, and you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Can anyone give some advice on which would be a better choice? HID Kit or Just replace the bulbs. Also where to buy?

On a mk3 then its HID's, you will need to aim the light down slightly or the beam is aimed too high.

H4-3 (aka Bi-xenon/flex) kit.

So you have HID Hi & Lo.
