Rite, i thought would be cool if i started my own build tread so ... lets begin!

1st and most of all, am new to polo and vw scene so didnt know where to start. Plus, didnt really have money til now so the updates arent big and wont be til the end of the month.

From then tho, i ll make this tread VERY enjoyable! I hope so at least

-- lower it more with huge camber coz otherwise wheels will keep catchin arches

-- get a stainless steel manifold and WASH it!

Looks nice mate. Love the wheels (and the sticker) lol. Just drive the car on to a block of wood when you need to jack it up. Wind her down

Chill dude, I prefer 6n2 GTi splitters, but that's just me

I agree dude the 6n2 splitter is a savage 1 in comparison to the Ibiza :) but each to their own. :)

lol sorry guys :p ... hmm, will consider both but as far as am concerned the price of the 6n2 splitter is considerably higher, am i rite?

6n2 splitter definitely, its a little bit bigger but still really subtle - perfect!

Guys, i got some camber shims but even tho theres like a huge manual on how to do it, i ve got literally no clue how and belief that this can work. Have you got any 'work in progress' pics?????????

I have no pictures but i can explain how to add camber. (i didn't use shims, i used washers, but i know how it works)

Jack car up.

Remove rear wheels.

Remove drum faces. (handbrake will need to be OFF for this)

Unbolt the drum/hub.

Select adequate camber/toe settings on the shims and brake the holes.

Hold shim against the axle, take the drum and put a bolt through to hold it in place (doesn't matter if tight at this point)

Quickly double check you've selected the right amount of camber and toe.

Bolt hub back on to the correct torque settings. (cannot remember what this is, someone should know)

Add face of drum back on.

Add wheels.

Lower jack.

Torque wheels.

That is exactly how i did mine, accept i only removed two bolts from the hub, because as said i used washers not shims.

I will be taking mine off probably on Monday/Tuesday if you want to wait and i'll take some pictures for you at the same time.

i got some shims for mine to bud and cant work it out lol . i just gave up in the end . there sitting in my garage in the box now lol . might have a go again one day . Dave

Am gonna use washers as well me thinks, was thinkin of it before tbh. I just cant see these camber shims being tough enough so they wont break etc.

No-one deems washers as safe, but technically neither are 'safe' so its exactly the same. :) How much camber are you aiming for?

Yeah no worries, will post up my pictures when i get round to doing it :)

i know man, decided not to play with the camber at all, seems 2 dodgy. On top of that, 3 out of 4 bolts holdin the hub snapped lol (typical)

Gonna roll the arches instead, 'hammer method' lol
