Right, had my windows down the other day and went to put them up and my passenger one didnt, took the door card off and it makes a sound and the motor moves but doesnt go up... it goes down fine though! So i have manage to push it up so its closed but stuck on where to go now.. is it a buggered motor or regulator?

broken: you can see where it clips in.. this is on the left hand side of my regulator, check both sides incase its the right hand side.

then push it back in, i used some sealant to hold it in place as it usually has a cap on the end, so just put some sealant or something on the end to hold it in place.

hope this helps anyone with the same problem

I've got the same problem on my driver's side window mate, it goes down fine but goes up very slow and stops half way. Could be the window runner's or the motor

if the motors buzzing away buddy best bet is to replace the regulator may have fucked the retractor inside to pull the window up

Scroll down to part II of this guide and look at the window regulator clips. I bet, one of these has snapped!

Take the doorcard off your polo and then you will need to peel back the foam membrane to expose the regulator. Seek the metal clips and inspect. There are two.
