power/electric windows in mk2 polo?

Featured Replies

will be putting in power windows in a mk2, have read through a couple of threads on here. I know the early mk2 golf mech and motor will work, but what year did they change the model? and also is it only the GTI versions with power windows?

what other car can i get the motor and mech from? Aud 100 c2? vw passat mk2? any others?

I have seen a universal power window kit on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Van-Universa...#ht_5461wt_1037

will this work? anybody tried?

thanks

early mk2 golf rears

passats and audi 80/100 pre 1983 or something like that

Pikeypete

Pretty sure the motor and window mech I used was from a late spec mk2 golf. It was just a spare one I had lying around from one of the 16v's I had and both cars had the big window so I can only assume that this mech was from a big windowed 3 door mk2 golf

vw passat mk2?

Good luck with that. I've been trying to find out how much they sell for but I have found no adverts at all, information seems to be super thin on the ground and the only owners clubs I have found are German ones.
