Westfalia Towbar for Mk2 Coupe

Featured Replies

Wanted:

I'm specifically after a 'swan neck' Westfalia towbar for a Mk2 Coupe.

Anyone got one at the back of their garage?

Cheers in advance! :-)

Rarer than hens teeth. But worth it if you get one, extra's are it stiffens up the back end and fends off mk5 golfs and BMW's that want to get personal.

Not sure if they are "rarer than hens teeth" seeing that they only stopped making them at the beginning of this year...

That might be so, but it depends on how many they sold not length of production run.

You could have an item thats been produced for 5 years but in that time has only sold 1 per year.

They do come up for sale every once in a blue moon but rarely complete, the last one that I saw for sale was missing the L-mounts for the inside of the boot and the whole under car/chassis tie-in setup.

It would seem that hens teeth exist! ;)

I have bagged myself a n.o.s genuine VW complete votex tow bar for 50 euros!!!

If you dig deep, you can find what you want...
