sorned but still insured?

i am thinking of sorning my car for six months but still want to get my years no claims, can i sorn the car and carry on payin insurance or would they not insure me?

any help would be good thanks

Yes, this can be done, if you have Fully Comprehensive cover it may be an idea to drop down to TPFT cover as there may be a refund due to you.

yeah its fine to sorn your car and stay insured. some insurers do 'laid up' insurance, unsure who, how much, or what it covers, best to speak to your actual insurer regarding what they can do.

to sky - for the last three years, I've found fully comp, even on 400 pound sheds to be significatly cheaper than TPFT! even though I wouldnt claim back thru the insurance as they only offer market value (read as pittance!)

may not be the same for all situs but worth checking
