iv always been a huge fan of Mk5's and always wanted to buy one.

so iv finally got one, a 1.0L Indigo blue (i think).

It needs a lot of work, i thought it was fine when i bought it but now iv got a huge list of things to sort out, but ill get the dubbing out the way first hopefully

some of you may have seen my other thread on my 'terribly' smoothed mk4,

so now i have my mk4 gathering dust on the drive waiting for a new owner, and my mk5 as my daily.

ill upload pictures soon as the mods start.

I have already bought some Wheels for it: 14'' Zender sports, PLEASE forgive me, they are 1 piece made to look like splits. anyway i need lower profile tyres and then they will be on for good.

sprayed my badge black and hoping to stay plateless, also still debating low profiles. my wheels are 14'' with 6j dish, would 195/45 give me a stretch on the tyre????

Looking good mate, i would put the number plate back, doesnt look right unless you smooth the bumper or smooth the number plate gap, get it lowered on some nice wheels and your be away! :)

remove them.

don't bother with the helpers on the fronts. If you check on my thread you will see I had to remove them all after only 6 months on the car! And all were seized! So I recommend you spray the threads in Wurth Chain Wax before fitting and this will stop grit etc sticking to the threads. msg if you have an problems fitting.

Update - will go much lower though once winter has passed.

just playing around with the wheels, need to figure out what size tyres i need now for a little stretch
