Prox's Mk1 Golf GTi

Featured Replies

Hey Guys, haven't been very active recently but i've often scanned the forum.

My plan was to sell my 6n2 after the show season, it's being picked up Monday.

Last night i went to go look at Mk1 Golf GTi in Croydon. Ended up paying £2,350 for it. 131k Miles. The bodywork needs a bit of attention which i'll defnitely get round to.

The drive home was great, not used to power as i've only ever owned 1 litres. Also need to get used to no power steering, which i do prefer.

As far as plans go, i'm not too sure yet, as mk1s look good on 13s-16s and then i'll modify according to the wheels :).

Yeah man, my last 2 cars have just been fun. This is where it gets serious.

Looks pretty perfect! :)

Cheersman!

looks tidy

been lookin at these recently

Paintwork looks to be in great condition!

What are the plans?

Nice car, and very original too. I know it's not my call to say this but I wouldn't do anything you can't take off. These are worth big bucks if they've not been fucked about with - and tbh they look best with subtle mods anyway.

Couldn't agree more, a car like this is pretty much an investment

Beaut.

Look after it. These are great in near standard form and have good presence.

This is alex, this wont stay standard for 5 mins

But i agree with others, dont go mad with custom bodywork n shit. Just work with what you've got.

Thanks for the comments guys.

As said, this is where my modifying becomes serious, my 2 previous cars I've had fun with.

This one will only have bodywork to make it mint, not to make it 'smooth'.

I have literally no idea how i'm going to modify this yet, the spoiler will stay, it will get low, it will be clean/tidy.

Maybe this time you can concentrate on engine mods?

Manifold back will happen eventually, but other than that, i'm not fully sure yet

Nice! Clean,Standard & Low winning combo!

I do something with the rear end though, just to tidy it up
