Mk1 Golf. Ronal Racing Turbos. Mint condition.

Featured Replies

I'm not 100% sure I want to do this, as I know I would struggle to get another one in this condition again. However, I just don't use it enough. I want a car I can use everyday, but this just feels too precious. Therefore the plan would be to sell this and my A4 tdi so that I can just have one daily car.

The basics:

1982 Mk1 Golf C. Originally 1093cc.

The clock mileage is 126,000, however the engine itself has done less than 10,000 since it's rebuild, and the paint is even newer.

Tax until 31/05/2012

MOT until 19/04/2012

The car has had so many new parts over the last couple of years. Firstly when the engine was replaced and then the car went under a full body restoration. Some of the new parts include, fuel filler neck and panel, wing, lights, mirrors, small bumpers, front opening quarter windows etc. The rear arches have been rolled professionally. Then the car was professionally resprayed in the original colour.

The engine is now a 1.3 mk2 polo engine, bored out to a 1.5. Ported and polished, high lift cam, bug pack oil breather, new high pressure fuel pump, 4 branch manifold, full stainless exhaust, new clutch and cable. It's also running twin 40 dellorto carbs, which sound amazing! It has been on a rolling road and produced 120bhp.

The interior consists of mk2 golf cl seats, in excellent condition. With mint condition blue carpets and door cards.

The car is currently sat on Ronal Racing Turbos in 15" by 7.5j all round. With 1.5" dishes on the front and 2.5" dishes on the rear. All four have Bridgestone 165/50 tyres on with loads of tread left. One of the ronal's is leaking air, so needs to be split unfortunately and re-sealed. I do have a set of Audi Pepperpots that can come with the car, with the same tyre specs. It has been lowered on Jamex coilovers, with the front helpers removed. It does need a chassis notch, although I should be able to sort that out.

I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking...

It really is an awesome little car. I just don't have the chance to drive it as much as I would like, and driving an A4 tdi everyday is killing me! Therefore I would ideally want a px for a mk2 golf. Although I am open to pretty much any px/swap with cash either way.

So for forum rules the price is £3,300 on the pepperpots. Or £5,000 on the ronals.

I am in no rush to sell, if it stays I have plenty of plans for it.

PS. Thanks for any pictures I have stolen ;)

It won't be up for sale for a short while. Will need to get a new car first, but will stick an advert up on here when it is for sale.

Sold. It went without the ronals, so if you're interested in them, let me know.
