So, it's time to sell the polo! Had this car for 5 years now and its time to move on.

The sale will include the car as it is, the original wheels with tyres, the 4 speed gearbox, a Weber 32/34 dmtl carb with adapter plate and choke cable I never had time or experience to fit, a GK inlet manifold, and thule roof bars. I have various other bits and bobs for it at my dads place but I'm not there right now so will update with the rest when I've had a look!

As for the car itself, its a 1.3 Hk engined Squareback Lx, which was a special edition made before the Coupe S was born in 1985 so has the higher bolstered seats and 'sports' steering wheel. Its converted to 5 speed with a Mk3 gearbox. Its been lowered 60/50 on shocks and springs (the kit philj does, also new topmounts when this was done), has lemmers wheels (14x5.5, originally from a Renault 18/Fuego turbo, never seen another set!) these were freshly refurbed in the original anthracite and diamond cut finish when I bought them a year ago and have been garaged through the winter. It also has Powerflex bushes at the front, with Gladerseite style nylon anti-roll bar blocks, a Polo Performance Parts Stage one subframe kit, Black Diamond front discs and pads, Goodridge braided hoses all round, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, 4 driving lights with 100w bulbs (mega bright!), pressed metal plates (also have the plastic ones) Deleted reversing light so the back end is symmetrical red (still have the original) golf clocks so it has a revcouter instead of a clock, smoothed side strips.

As well as these modifications its also had a new fuel tank (1 year ago), new rear silencer (2 months ago) and two new front tyres (1 month ago), new brake master cylinder (2 years ago), new clutch cable (1 year ago)

Good points: Everything has been resprayed apart from bonnet and roof, tidy car with a lot of shine!

Bad points: Rear valance is a bit buckled, few little dings on the bodywork, haven't done anything to the interior, its clean and tidy but the door cards need re-doing
