Hello, I have a MK2 polo '89 model, i cannot seem to ba able to wire in any other radio i they power up but no sound, i have checked the obvious like all the wires leading up to speakers ect and there is no problem, the stereos that i have tried to install have both red wires one for ignition and one for constant power but the car only has one red wire, can anyone suggest what i can do here, Help much appriciated

connect both the permanent live and ignition live to the one 'red wire' that the polo has.

either that or connect a wire to the correct cable from the ignition switch and run that to the stereo. It depends whether you're fussed about having your stereo switch on/off with the ignition.
