heyy people i got a mk4 vw polo 1 liter on friday and i got tax on saturday morning was driving it around all day saturday and then saturday night it started obver heating :/ me and my dad thought it was thee thermostat but we toke that out and tested it and it is all fine now we think it is the water pump could anyone let me know if they had this problem :)

done a little bit of work today put 6x9's in and jaxked car up and got it ready for the water pump to go in :)

Fitted a new water pump and all alright now but know its not keeping its water friend said it could be the head gasket :/ can anyone help ??

If it's the head gasket, first thing to check would be the oil? Is it going quickly? Also when you take the oil cap off, check to see if you can spot a milky substance around the cap, if there is any, your head gasket will probably need replacing! :) hope this helps!

oil is fine no milky spots :)

but is this normal because my mate said it could be cause of the head gasket :S

first thing i would say is put some antifreeze in your car! that looks like rusty water to me and wen the winter comes u might face some problems, drop all the coolant out completely and fill her up with the right mix of water/ antifreeze

My car polo was put on coilovers as soon as I bought it so never really saw it standard hahaha.

But yeah please put number plate back or get front bumper smoothed. And take the pvw sticker off the window.

Hello havant really been on my much been working on the car really got rid of the lower spring for some collies :) and also got new seats out of 1.4 cl for £60 which think is bargin and got 230mm steering wheel not a momo but that will some soon and i also fitted a central locking kit :)
