Info below taken from a PM I sent to someone, as description says I am no back home until next week and pics will follow then.

Peugeot 306 Rallye in Onyx Black, only 500 Rallyes produced in the Uk, of which only 100 were black, now a rare sought after vehicle with roughly 40 still on the roads.

1999 T registration

I bought this car as a bit of fun as I had only driven sensible cars my whole life, I was 23 at the time so insurance was finally feasible. I bought the car from a member of the 306GTi and Rallye forums where there are threads of the car when he had it too.

Engine:

Nothing to report here, holds oil, water etc, fine, pulls like a train in every gear. Engine isn’t the quietest, but these XU engine’s never are, it has an open air filter installed which may increase the noise I’m not sure as it had this installed when I bought it. No engine mods. The shell is on just over 90,000 miles, however the guy I bought it off from 306gti6.com replaced that engine as it was shagged with the engine that’s in now, it is on just over 70,000 miles (20,000 less than the shell) however I have no receipt for this as he did it. If you go to: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=132579 . you can see the work done, ignore the lacquer peeled bonnet, that’s been replaced!

Suspension and brakes:

Lowered about 40mm, maybe a little more on the rear, handles like its on rails as they all do. Black diamond drilled and grooved discs on front with mintex pads.

Wheels and tyres:

The cyclones have been repainted in white and fitted with 4 barely used Uniroyal Rainsport 2’s, great when warm in the dry and uber grippy in the wet, unreal. As said these are two months old and barely worn in, all 6mm+ easily.

Miscellaneous:

Scoripon backbox fitted, gives it a lovely burble outside of the car, especially under a little throttle. In no way loud, fine on motorway and all, I had a drony exhaust on my old 306 and it was too loud and would burst my ears everytime I hit a motorway, let alone any rear passengers! So I didn’t want this again!

Interior:

The interior on this car is pretty mint. It has no rips, tears, burns or damage to the seats, even drivers bolster which is very rare. There is a very small amount of wear there but no rips or anything yet. Again I’ll photograph it and you can see for yourself. Parcel shelf has original speakers, as do the front door cards.

It also has a full rallye mat setup, front, rear and boot mats. Two central vent direction adjusters are broken but they still open and close which is the important bit!

Unfortunately I’m not with the car right now so cant give exact Tax/MOT dates. I know the MOT is due in January but I have no doubt it’ll pass and am happy to put it through before sale if you would rather. Tax is a little longer I think! I’ll check when I’m back and if youre still interested I can give you exact dates.

It has a part service history and MOT’s, book full of receipts. A lot of it is academic now, since the car has a new engine since a lot of the work but hey its nice to have. The car had a new cambelt, tensioners, aux. belt when the engine was installed, although again no receipt as he carried all this work out. I trusted him as he’s a well know and respected member of the forum plus I knew him for a bit before buying the car and he’s in no way a cheat.

Bad points:

The car has the usual stone chips and supermarket door dings, but nothing major. There is a small dent in the bonnet, about a 5p piece, should pull out no problem. One of the wings has a skight scratch right where it hits the bumper, now its barely noticeable as its in the crease of the bumper/wing but I have been searching locally for the past month or two for a decent wing in black to replace it as they’re cheap as chips, unfortunately where I’m from that’s easier said than done, if I find one it will be replaced before sale. Almost forgot, airbag light is on, its never bothered me and doesn’t affect MOT. Central locking doesn’t work, I do have a fob for it and I’ve been told it just need re-configuring, directions on the internet apparently but its never really bothered me and I’ve just used the key, which there are two of.

Summary:

This is an good example of a car that is getting rarer. With a little money and TLC it could be an excellent example. Mechanically, this car has been perfect for me, not one issue. I’ve had it plugged in to a giagnostics machine and there wasn’t one issue. and the interior is mint also. With a bit of TLC, the bodywork will match. The car was taken up to my local mechanic last week and put up on the ramps to check it over, he said he was happy with everything except the passengers droplink, this is being replaced along with a full service when I get back next week. I have decided to sell this car as I’ve had my fun and need a car that is cheaper to insure/run.

I think that is all although I’ve probably forgotten something so If you have any questions then please just ask. Unfortunately I have no photos on this laptop with me but I will sort you some when I get back if you wish.

Anyway, thanks for reading and let me know if you’re interested!

Cheers, Tom.
