  • might buy it, lower it and re-sell it. I'll weld them lowering springs in too so it cannot be un-done easily

I thought i might get reactions like that. Thats why i put that pic up

Reposessed by the club? No, more like stolen by you harris. I know how much you want it

That pic of those rims leant against this car is the nearest they will get, dont worry. I like them, and think they suit MK3's well, but not for this car. They arent OEM.

They are, jut the wrong M

Twists = next level

Just need colour coding with a blend.

I think they could be pulled off with some decent low profile tyres, and a drop to suite!

:x :-X :x AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! :x :-X :x

Fuel tank has decided to start leaking. AGAIN! Second one in 8 months.

Suppose its my fault for trusting a second hand tank and someone elses description of its condition.

It had so many layers of paint on it cant have rusted since i fitted it. So my thinking is it had pinholes in that I couldnt see, despite inspecting it, and the many layers of hammerite filled them up and the fuel has eventually eaten through and started to weep out :x

So another a tank it is, at the worst possible time, when its brim full and just when I have absolutely no money and no sign of any financial improvement.

DAMN THESE POLO TANKS. The new one will be getting sooooo many layers of paint and underseal!!

Mine dropped £50 worth of fuel out of it as i was always at work and had no time to rescue the falling drops of fuel :( i got a brand new tank. waxoiled off ebay for £25

if its brim full of fuel it could be the seal on the top of sender unit.

I've had on leak

1 coat of Por15 is all you need mate!

Should only need it on the filler neck also.. never heard of any other part of the tank going apart from that

Aaannnddddd chack out 86c's MK2 loon thread, the 86c Guard is a must ;)

Youv'e never seen a bad tank then

The one that came off this was rusty in the seam in the middle as well as a load of rot in the neck.

The one off my MK1 i should have taken a pic of before it got chucked. The rot in that was savage. The neck actually fell of when it came out and it had rot holes on the top side of the tank

That guard is mint, but i clean around my neck regularly anyway. No harm in knocking one up though :-)

Will always go round the neck 1st though surely? so any other rot is due to being stood for so long without use?

But yeh, guard is sick isnt it! Do need to make one

Apart from when dirt sits behind it which gets moist and stuck there between the guard and filler neck

But it stops the majority of the dirt getting there in the 1st place. and its only 2 cable ties to take it off, clean, put back on ;)

How do you know toby? Have you got one fitted?

Well unless you're blind the picture pretty much tells that story for you?

But no, i don't lol

^lol Toby.... Dan you need to get them teledials purchased they are more than cheap get them on and slap this car with the lowering stick, you will not regret it!

It's easier for me to stick the jet wash in and get all the shit out than having to cut cable ties, to then stick the jet wash behind, to refit it lol. Obviously if was a better fit it would help more. And I guess salt wouldn't get on as easily. Just two ways of looking at things man, I'm over analytical due to what I do for a day job

If it was made out of rubber mat. Thick maluble stuff It would most prob seal better :)

I never jetwash in there as i dont have a jetwash or hose even. So for me the guard is ideal... it stops atleast 90% of the crap getting in there...

Mine's all rotten in there and will need plating up, I don't care now but I shoulda nipped it in the bud by making a guard.

Sure I have a jet wash, but I can never be arsed to use it, especially when its freezing cold and salty outside..

Those Corsa Sport alloys are bloody awful! '90s wheels for when three spokes were all the rage. That'll be about five weeks of 1994 then.

I would have snapped them up already, but i need to shift those 3 spokes first ideally and no ones biting :-(

Some of you will be pleased to know that the Corsa wheels have gone back home to a corsa B. Got £70 for them, which is a £50 profit :-D

Nothing else new to report though. Matt, it did have 5 spokes. I took them off and sold them as i hated them  .Still really want some Teledials though. Gutted i missed out on those £70 ones :-(

pm buster, he has some 4 stud ats teledials he might sell you, as i dont think he runs them on his g40 anymore. doubt they would be cheap though, as he had them fully refurbed to a pretty high std

what a genuinely nice read over a beer :)

I agree, Needs lows; Just goes to show though you dont need big engines to turn heads :)

Really clean dude :) Love it :)
