What sort of prices would you be looking at for a specced kit Harris. Pm me. H&R's are £330ish, so dont want to spend alot more than that. With my current work it will take an age to save up for them anyway

Have contacts at billstein & eibach so is doable, billstein make dampers to suit already so would be a case of swapping some shims and then eibach may already offer a spring but I believe I may be able to get custom ones reasonably priced too. Depends what you'd want to spend on a kit.

Depends how far I went with it dude. Damper tuning with billstein would cost me £500 a day to get a setting so it might be more of a long term thing I'm looking at - but I don't think it's worth it cause if it's more than £200 for suspension that's far to expensive for most on the scene lol.

edit: mk3 fogs aren't the brightest fogs out there. Keep the original loom. A relayed loom melted my holders and I think b-shaw had the same problem too.

Nope. Cant beat it :) On the lookout for the washers if you know of any? And i knew about the fog relay and the melting, thats why i went with the factory wiring. They dont like the extra heat created by more current

Easy mate. I made a loom before i bought the fogs, but they surprised me by coming witha perfect OEM loom. Cut the loom up for the cable now though, as i'm cheap and used it for my grille wiring I do have all the connectors though including one for the scuttle and two brand new ones for the fogs, If you want them. Wont be free though

Myself and a couple of mates ran eibach springs and adjustable koni shocks on mk2s and a mk3. Was about a 40mm drop and handle well. Add some powerflex bushed and its a great handling/ride/stance compromise. This was a few (well over 10) years ago now. Running Gaz coilies now though.

Not much happened to this for a while, but should be some progress pretty soon as I am about to order suspension in the next few weeks, along with a new exhaust system (need to get this priced up) and different wheels and tyres (don't know what yet, but want a change ). Started to give the paint a really good clean as hasn't had a proper going over since last July and was full of contaminants (felt a bit rough). Got to work with the Clay Bar, polish, pre wax and Carnauba wax. Only done the bonnet and roof so far, but looking shiny. Lovely deep shine and reflections and is super smooth.

First major thing in a while. Spent a bit of money today. Cruised over to Kingswinford Tyres and had a power flow stainless exhaust made. Got a CAT back system with 3" inward rolled tail pipe.

And a pic of the whole car. Cleaned it yesterday for the first time in a week:

Pretty happy with the system. Could be a little higher where it goes under the rear beam, but its made now and other than that spot on. Its nice and quiet, not much noisier than standard. The car has more torque, so pulls better, especially up hill at motorway speeds. Feels a little bit pokier when accelerating too. If anything its probably quieter than the standard system at 70 :-)

New (well old) wheels turned up this morning too, so its been a good day in Polo land. Wasn't going to put wheel pics up until they were finished but heres a preview:

If you guessed Sebrings then your correct. Tyres are all shot and are being chucked. 195 50 are too big anyway. Wheels are all straight with minimal curbing and have all the caps with all clips intact, a rare thing in itself. Been after a set of 15's for a while and was originally looking for 15" RA's, but saw a few people on here were going with them. These came up at a decent price so I just bought them. Don't see many polo's running these so will be a bit different and still be OEM.

Any reason for going for that tip ? I think the straight cut pipes suit older cars better imo :)

I chose that tip as it was what I liked the best and was one of the smallest/ most subtle they had :-).

wish mine were a straight cut, altho i bet ill end up with a full custom system soon as mines ones taking a mad beating already.

Not lowered. Nothings even been bought. The more you lot keep on, the longer it takes Spent out for this month now anyway. So no chance of a change in ride height for polo show.

Was driving near the peak district this weekend and it just drives so well at the standard height, and had a mate with me for a 12 mile round trip from camp site to sainsburys and he said it drove really well, as did everyone else that's been in it. So much better than my lowered one that I took there last year :-). Scared of ruining it as its so good. Exhaust made a big difference today. Was driving up a few long hills on the motorway, something I have struggled with in the past. Now I can be doing 75 in the outside lane and its still pulling. Doesn't lose speed at all :-D.

One of the rubbers snapped on the way to polo show. I didn't notice and it was bouncing around and now its blowing because of it . Taking it back this week. Its currently held on with a cable tie and a jubilee clip. Cable tie hasn't melted which was a surprise after 2 hours of motorway driving.
