Today i span the car out backwards up an embankment (note to self, I'm not mike gaynor and autos are whack). I'm fine, passengers fine, the cars fine other than a snapped spring which was already fucked i suspect. Absolutely shat myself. I've learnt that TCS needs to stay on in the wet and I've got plenty to learn. Anyone else had one of 'them' moments?

many. usually involving oncoming agricultural vehicles.......

Good name dropping there.

Switching off TCA in the wet is never a good idea.

Co-driver in a mini bus I was driving thought it would be funny once, ended up leaving the roundabout backwards.

Yeah definitely.

Wasn't driving too long until i was introduced to the fun/danger of lift-off oversteer.

Now i find it very fun and controllable, but back then, Oh deary me.

Correct, It's a fucking GREAT idea

Twice, on the same "gravelly" (?) roundabout, car didnt hit anything thank god. Always wary of it now!

Went to overtake a learner on one of the country lanes around mine. Didn't see the dip in the road ahead, or the van in it! I also didn't have an confidence that the learners i was level with would break either. I think the instructor probably used his pedals. Brown trousers all day long!

Yep, I'm sure you're all guilty of the pretty girl getting your attention.

Also took a corner too quickly in the wet and suddenly got huge under-steer.

Oh yeah and was almost killed by my ex in a car crash the day after she passed her test, needless to say, the relationship didn't last long after that

I crashed my old c90 into a 5 series at a junction cos of jeggings. Fortunately the guy in the 5 series was distracted by the exact same arse.

been a crash in a old mini going 80 and it span out into a curb and tree. Thank fuck it was low as fuck otherwise probably would of rolled and died. Had a few sketchy moments today driving the 40 miles to work at 6am in the morning with a nice wet road and just going home through a shit lot of mist and theres someone on a bike. WHO THE HELL RIDES A BIKE IN THE MIST AT 11 O CLOCK. Must have a death wish.

I was crossing a clear roundabout at normal van driver speed the other morning and I forgot I was in works fwd transit rather than my rwd one. I was expecting a slight chirp from my offside rear tyre, and instead was greeted by an epic amount of understeer.

was coming round a roundabout crossing the M27 into southampton, thought the road was wider than it was, resulted in a brown trouser moment and a punch from the gf who was equally as brown trousered!

few weeks later, this time with the gf AND her mum in the car, same roundabout, slower speed though due to aforementioned gf's mum... steering one handed, steering wheel slips from hand, car veers sharply, brown trousers until i regain grip of the wheel!

lesson learned: don't go anywhere with missus in car :)

greated with fookin epic deceleration and a car schreeching behind you while your in an endo.

if only i could remember my left foot when i need to emergency stop
