Can anyone make me some Photos, or a Video Of The DIM DIP Light of the MK3 ?

Also Some Detailpics of the Harness, with the conections, and the Position of the Resistor would be nice.

Reason: I´m From Germany, ans think, it would me a nice Touch, to add This Feature

was it not a standard item on the LHD models then?

Makes me wonder why they fitted them on the uk models tbh.

no, because, Dim Dip is/was a UK invention :-D

odd thing to have as UK only especially as certain EU mainland countries at the time ruled that cars had to travel with lights on, Sweden being the most obvious, while in this country driving in thick fog/heavy rain with no lights still seems acceptable.

I like that most new cars have running lights that cant be switched off.

Can't on mine as its all unplugged as I've got HID's but ill get a pic of the mk2 which also has dim dip if thats any use.

How do you Activte the Dim Dip ? Does this switch habe 4 Points ? ( Off, Parking Light, Dim Dip, normal headlight )?

it just operates on the first setting with ign/engine on

so engine off...side lights only , ign on sidelights and the headlamp bulbs half on

anything ?

Could only get pics of the plug and resistor pack...

Wire loops up and into a grommet and goes behind the dashboard.

What is dim dip?!

when you have your sidelights on with the engine running the dip beam of the bulb is running at about 1/2 power.

Don´t all UK Mk2 and MK3´s have it as standart?

I Seams to me, that the grommet is ja same for the heated washer jets, That is also what EPC tells. Good.

Cable colors are yellow and yellow/black?

Do you have a Wiring diagramm, or do you know hab it is wired up?

And can you please also take me a pic from the rear of the lightswitch

This is a German one, does the Dim-Dip Lightswitches have more Conection ?

got a resistor, headlight switch and a old mk3 dash loom if it helps? but you would need the wee bracket it pop rivets to the inner wing.

Sounds nice! Richard. that wee bracket, would not be a problem, i think it is still aviable, and not as expensive.

But i Still want so se a picture, of a MK3 with enabled DimDip, so see, if i want it
