Hi guys.

I have a Mk7 Polo GTI and for a while now (about 6 months) I have had this weird clunking noise. It is constant, but not a regular beat sometimes and varies in loudness with each clunk. when driving in forward or reverse or in neutral just rolling slowly, say 5-15mph i get a constant clunk clunk clunk, a very dull sound not the sort you'd get with a fubard cv joint. and it seems to have no relation to acceleration/braking/cornering/in or out of gear.

Just a constant very dull clunking, it has got louder as time has gone on but is still not very prominent. Seems to be coming from the centre/drivers side of the engine bay/lower suspension

To add to this, I have had both coil overs out, not problems on them or there top mounts, and have just had the wishbone bushes replaced and ball joints are all fine.

It has been lowered btw

Few people have speculated a inner cv joint, or gearbox mount?
