i'm wanting to get a set of banded steel's made for my 6n2 gti! anyone know how wide i can go and still have the car decked without rolling the arches. was thinking 8's all round because got a bit of ocd with dish's being the same depth lol

Depends on the offset, if you use Vauxhall wheels then you can get more tuck to start with, and so get a wider wheel under the arch. Volkswagen wheels also vary a little with offsets.

Not that this'll help the wheel look deeper dish, so that's only any use if you want the maximum amount of tread on the road.

Can't imagine you'll get 8s under the arches without any fettling. Just roll the arches and be done with it. No point in messing around.

as said above that will depend on the wheel offset, they might poke to much, they might not..
