Ever since I've owned my Red GT one of my friends has been pestering me to sell it to him, so after I picked up the black GT and decided to sell it, he jumped at the situation and bought the car from me. As he's not on the forum I thought I'd start a build thread for him about the car.

The cars staying at my place and we're building up the car together He's been on a massive shopping spree, from the parts we've ordered so far, its going to make my red one look crap! This is going to be a very quick turn around and I'm extremely excited to get things going as everything has been ordered all at once. I envy the people that just have money!

Anyways, will update when parts start arriving.

They are indeed! well done :) thats one hell of an eye you have.

Fronts - 15x7 et15, and Rears - 15x8 et20. We haven't decided on rubber yet, but we're going to get the suspension on, trial fit the wheels and decided then.

Yeah, the reason we went for 15's is that 13's where just too small and would have to run it stupidly low to get any kind of proper fitment. Couldn't find any 14's that he liked... (would of gone for RSL Cults personally)... and a nice set of 15's came up for a decent price... so he bought these (fake splits FTW... ha) The specs are good, and should fit nice.. I'm hoping to not have to do too much arch work, but time will only tell

Well, it did suffer from the grey bumpers/arches.. but soon sorted that out with a heat gun. But yeah, its a good condition car, and much more reliable than my red one.

When i went and picked it up:

ha, no... just getting up from looking under the car and wiping my hands on my trousers like a naughty boy .. :/

Right, got cracking on with the car today, not much light during these recent days so couldn't get much done but was able to achieve all the little bits and pieces like, rear lights, front indicators and side repeaters, took rear wiper out, and put the rear suspension on. Didn't bring the right tools back with me this weekend to do the fronts, and there just wasn't enough light in the day to do them anyways :(

But was able to get the new wheels on, and see how they all lined up and sat and then bought some tyres. For the fronts, went for a 165/45 and for the rears went for 185/45, so should sit nice and still sit with the thread under the arch :) Also got pressed plates with surrounds, G-Laderseite ARB blocks, 6N rocker cover and a S/S manifold all in the post, along with a few other bit and pieces

ha, dont... already feeling it already!! the wheels are going to take some tamping to fit, i can see that already... might have to borrow an arch roller for the day.. hmm

This is what I have been waiting to see!!! I'm doing my polo gt project and looking to get some Bbs rms but wasn't sure how they would look and then I see similar wheels to yours on eBay was gonna get them as didn't wanna spend a load on rms and find they look wack!!! Hurry up and get tyres! Are you gonna roll the arches?
