Sorry guys, had to go Bournemouth this weekend, but will update later tonight with pictures of deliveries and what's to come

Such a tidy example this - bloody rare to see one with all the original bits. Those wheels are going to take some guts to run! I'm hoping they fit!

Cheers Alex, even has the original radio in it as well, will take pictures when we come round to changing it. Feels a bit of a shame to modify it really.

Right, tomorrow's going to be eventful. I dropped the wheels and tyres down at my good old friend John's and he'll be fitting the tyres on :) be picking them up around 1ish tomorrow. Also the front suspension is going to be put on tomorrow, getting excited now

Started cracking on with the 6n rocker cover today. Drilled and hole for the breather pipe and attached a small piece of alloy pipe for hose to fit on so that will be going on. Then got the Manifold to fit with the ARB blocks, going to fit a stero in it too, and of course, the wheels to be fitted on! Got some 15mm hubcentric spacers in the post for the rears, so fitment might not be exactly right tomorrow, but we'll see.

Update

Tyres finally arrived:

So dropped them down to my top man John to get them fitted and balanced.

Then set about sorting out this lovely stance:

So once the front suspension was on, went and picked up the wheels

and cracked on with getting them fitted:

And here's the final product for the moment:

Front still needs sorting out a little bit, but the rear sits perfect. Just gota get an arch roller for next weekend and roll those pesky arches!

Also fitted the ARB blocks today, and new exhaust next week

Also, id put the steels back on, grit will fuck those up so badly.

The car stays on my drive, so wont be going anywhere for the moment, but yeah we're looking into some winter wheels, prob G60's.. something along those lines.

Yeah the fronts do need some work, has got new top mounts and literally just put the suspension on in that pic, so going to give it time to settle a little bit before we decided on what to do. Prob end up just cutting a coil off, but we'll see.

The pictures really dont do this car any justice... in person it looks 10000x better, its unreal!!

cheers guys, yeah centre caps are waiting to go on, but gota fit the rear spigot rings before hand.

just going to roll them, want to keep the stand arch trims on it.. so just a quick roll will do.

cheers guys! yeah fake splits FTW! haha, they're no genuine splits but look the business! going to do a few little jobs today, front number plate, rocker cover and might do the s/s manifold today but we'll see.

Want more info on the jetta? well.. I bought the car at Edition 38 back in 2006. Fucking loved this car, this is when rat was rarely seen not like today. She's a small 1.3 and started life with a 4speed box, but that had to go and soon fitted a 5speed box out of a Mk2 golf 1.3. Uprated bug pack front and rear mounts (well worth doing) and got a s/s system made up for her :) GTi front brakes.. etc you know all the little kinda mods you can do to make these cars better.

And now looks something like this.. but the covers have literally just shredded off as you can slightly see in the picture. Bought another cover for it just waiting for it to arrive then fit it before the elements can fuck it up even more.

And this is how my golf looks at the moment, just waiting to finish uni and start earning some serious cash then it'll be sent off to be sprayed and so on and so on :p

Ok, shit weather but cracked on with it anyways.

So put on the new front number plate and took the old rocker cover off and replaced with the 6n alloy cover now just needs the engine plastics.

Then set about sorting out the front suspension, took two coils off.. sits a lot better now. I'm just going to let it settle for a while and see what it's like when i come back next weekend, but you can clearly see it sits better now.

Cheers Guys, this car is really taking shape now and I cant wait to see out on the road! Wont be going any lower on the front, well at least not yet. Got an arch roller for this weekend, so going to give the arches a good going over and then see how things turn out, but I expect it will be staying at this height. Think I'm going to be changing the grille, decided I'm not really feeling it, so going to put the original back on with the VW logo sprayed black. I think it will compliment the car better and give it that OEM+ feel to it. Hopefully just bought a front GT badge as well so get that one on as well.
