How did the arch rolling go? I went for 14s in the end and every time I see a picture of yours I keep thinking of selling up and I only just got them ha

cheers guys, comments like this make the long labour hours worth while :) 15's can work but take work to fit. I actually got called into work saturday and sunday this weekend, so haven't really had much time to spend on the car, but i did have an attempt at it friday night, but its pitch black at like 4.30 these days so had no light to see anything. Took it for a lil test drive to maccy d's to reward myself, but it was rubbing like hell, so still got some more rolling to do, maybe even loose the 3mm shims at the rear to tuck them a little bit more. If that doesn't work, its going to have to go up one setting, which will be a shame as it sits really nice..... with no1 in the car, once 1/2people are in it sits on the rear tyres :( dont think it would go anywhere if the car was full. Might try and find some mk1 golf rear coilovers and fit them. I've got a set of them on the rear of my red polo, and make it nice and stiff and obviously height adjustable as well so you can get it just right. I finish uni for the winter break on thursday, so going to come back and crack on with the car all winter holidays until its correct!

I'll take more pictures tomorrow morning before I head back to uni.

Well, just bought a set rear coil overs so they're in the post to me as we speak, so be fitting them next week. For the mean time need to get the arches rolled better and correctly. Also got the front gt badge In the post and had a delivery today for the 15mm hub centric spacers we bought. But prob end up not using them as the fittest for the wheels was pretty spot on anyways, might run them on some winter wheels to poke the rear out a bit.

Yeah buddy!! Looks really well mate.

That looks sweet mate!

awesome. can't wait till it settles when you do a few miles in her.

Haha you don't mess about Chriz!

Me and a mate were looking into buying this when you were selling it :ninja:

Good job 8-)

That's a classy looking motor now mate, very nice turnaround!

Only thing i would personally chage would be to run the original black badge GT grill for the OEM win.

Right, rear suspension was doing my nut in, sat to high with no one in it, but as soon as someone was in it, it sat on the tyres, so went and bought some rear coil overs, and now it sits exactly where I want it, with or without someone in it :) happy days! Took it to its first meet tonight :) will get some updated pics soon.

Cheers for all the positive feedback guys !

havn"t had a lot of time recently so no new decent pictures I'm afraid. But i did roll the arches once more in the daylight, and did a much better job of it. And also the coilovers came in the post the same day, so whilst i had the rear up in the air I fitted the coilovers too.

Sorry dont have any pictures of them fitted but this is one of them both before I started doing the arches and fitted the coilovers.

Get a pic up! How did you do your arches arch roller and heat gun? I need mine done asap!! I cant fit my finger in the gap with my wheel :-/

top notch and a really quick turn around

So pleased to see someone flying the flag for pre-94 Polos on 15s. Could be a game-changer for this forum!

Lovley car, well done, not normally a fan of 15s on mk3's not because they do not look good but my old gt used to tramline badly with the 15s on. Black gts look great.

looks great! it makes you realize you dont have to have 13's on a mk2f, I'm looking for a set of 14's at the moment 8-)

I'm already there Alex ;)

Looks good mate, Could you PM me how you rolled the Arches as mine are rubbing on the tires :/

Cheers for all the kind words chaps  mucho appreciated. Yeah the 15's work, but took a while for it too. As i previously said, i swapped the rear suspension for a set of mk1 golf coilovers so i could get the rear at a height i was happy with and so it didn't sit on the tyres as soon as someone sat in the car. Yeah the arches are rolled, basically borrowed a H&R arch roller from Dan at Devon Dub Shack in Plymouth and set about doing it. Found it was easier to tap the lip with a hammer just to get it started and then the arch roller finished it off, obviously with a heat gun as-well to minimize the paint cracking, but still put underseal on them anyways just for good measure. I promise i will actually go out tomorrow and take some updated pictures, weather depending.. If not tomorrow then friday :)

So a small update, not to sure on how many people are going to approve with this but went and bought a Piper induction kit and decided against the clear indicators and went for smoked ones instead.

right, so fitted the smoked side repeaters this morning and took a couple of snaps... the car is really dirty :( The front needs sorting out today, with one person in the car it doesnt rub at all, but as soon as there 2 or more people it rubs on the fronts... so thats my mission for today, sort the front arches out.
