sits so well, very good work man

This thing just gets better with every photo, get those plastics painted and it'll look spot on!

I dont like the fact that I like this, because I wanted it when I saw the for sale thread on Edition.....but I do think it's rather sex.....good work guys!

ha, yeah sorry, should of snapped it up! I think I've upset a few of the purists as well modifying a completely standard GT, but oh well its just a car at the end of the day and if you want to go see originality go to the VW Museum

Sits very well for 15's!

You cut the whole underside of the arch trim off yet? or folded the lip? would be nice seeing this tucking upto the alloy hehe. Sorry I'm just being a pain, i'll shut up and just admire :p

Erm yeah... the plastic arch at the top has all gone, the lip has been rolled about a 90degree radius centering the top, in all fairness if this wasn't going to be used as a daily i would probably try and get as close as to the arch as I could.. :p but gota draw the line somewhere.. :(

So dope man... people seem to be surprised that 15's work so well.... IMO they are the perfect size!

Just needs a new zorst an it'll be bang on 8-)

Cheers chap, yeah i've got 15's RA's on my red GT and they seem to work fine too, its all about having the 45 profile though to keep that radius down a little to match the arch lines. Yeah exhaust is on the list, in the next couple of weeks or so I'm sure i'll be updated this thread with it fitted on a S/S custom made exhaust or something.

Definitely one of my favourite sitting MK3's on here! Looks great on the 15's. Are they reps?

Nice little GT there, good to see some proper wheels on a mk3 :-)

Liking the progress so far

I got some 15's for mine, just never got round to fitting them!!!

i think applause is in order :) great work

Bet it looks better when it's clean!

Bet it looks better when it's clean!

Its a daily, i'll forgive him

Didn't think it was yet.... Still no excuse for a dirty car ;)

That Looks the bollocks dude! Its really ironic that you have had a red gt and then gone for a black one as I have ended up doing the same aha!

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with this!

Top stuff ;)

Pretty sure it's not his car dude.

these are a bugger to get sitting low on 15s - you have to go well low so the sill doesnt look high, which i no easy thing. I'm down 100mm on 15s and only then does it look low, cant drive it like that tho hahahaha

looks good mate...those rear lights came out alright!

Cheers guys, It's nice to see a good car come out at the end of some long labour hours, and appreciation like this never goes amiss.

Infact yee! thinking about it I'm not sure it is yet, in which case SHAME ON YOU! looks a disgrace  Shoudl see mine :ninja:

pahaha, it got driven around for a couple of days then back to mine, not my duty to clean it, just my duty to work on it and make it look the nuts :p

Yeah I drove up to London and bought the car, MOTed it, had a couple of days/week to think over what to do with it, either sell my red one and transfer everything over to the black one, or sell the black one. Ended up putting the black one up for sale obviously, and one of my best mates bought it from me. So it's stayed at my house till everything was finished on it and till it was fully drivable and until he sells his car. He's just been chucking money my way, and i've just been buying bits for the car and fitting them myself  not complaining, got to mod a car how I wanted it to look like

Yeah, 15's are a tricky one, but we decided against 13's as he'd have to run it STUPIDLY low to get any kind of decent stance, 14's are just a bitch to get the tyre sizes that you want in, so 15's just seemed the perfect size and then these wheels pop up so bought them. ha, yeah  rear lights are awesome, how does it feel to know they've lived on, in another car? might even see it at some shows this coming year ;)

Just a small update, exhaust manifold was chucked down to a garage to have the lambda nut welded on, so this will be fitted soon, ermm what else... the car started to run a lil crap, diagnosed it to spark plugs and leads, corroded to fuck, surprised it was even running at all! so they've all been changed and replaced with new ones. Ermmm......Hopefully S/S exhaust to be fitted soon, but not before I get round to fitting the S/S manifold.
