Mine came in a week. Said it'd be like 17 working days. Welll impressed. Have got fair bit of reverse rake on it atm. I'm teying to get some pics but its dark by the time I'm finishing work atm.=\ not really much gonna be happening for a bit, after bike carbs but gonna have to save a bit to get them/fit them/set them up. A mates offered me a side exhaust so thinking about gutting that but don't kbow yet.

Right so after catching one too many speed bumps I now have no exhaust from downpipe back. A mate has offered Mr a side exhaust he used to have on his mk2 golf and as this was going to be a plan at some point I'm gonna take him up on his offer. But how do i attach it. (dont mean pipe to pipe i mean pipe to underside of the car) cheers.

Any idea on the exhaust? It's off a 1600 golf driver but the pipe dimensions should fit. It's more where you hang it from body wise.

The pipe diameter will be bigger on the Golf system. As for where to hang it from, you'll just have to use a bit of ingenuity on that one as with it being custom, nothing will line up. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it... More hassle than it's worth.

Nice one. Only about half hour from preston.=) Yeah went to quite a few of thw meets when I had my pickup. Not been since I got my loon though. Always a good turn out at them. Was at one about may/june and there was a bloke with a blue bora that beached trying to get on the top car park! Had to be dragged off by a lad in a mk2 golf.

Not really an update but just some pics i took recently.

Reverse rake sucks and so does destroying 2 exhausts in 6 months on fecking speed bumps so looking for some 40mm rears i think. =/

Just a thought though would fitting standard springs on lowered shocks actually result in any lowering or just fooked shocks?

Is the lowering kit a 80/60 one .. Or are they the same on front and back looks like uv got a loads of reverse rake .. Also when u fitted the kit was the front new shocks easy to put in ? :)

Meant to be 80/80 with option on 60 or 80 rears.

Fronts are easy if you have the right tools. because they are inserts it does take a fair bit more work then just seperating them from the hubs. think it took me about 6 hours to do the full car in a garage on axel stand. it took me a fair bit of time trying to get the top bolt lose on the front then trying to find some grips big enough to fit around the top of the front shock. you do have to take the fron hubs off to do this as well.

also looks like a lot of reverse rake with the arch gap but side on doesnt look that much different sill to floor gap which is odd.

also in those 3 pics i have an amp, guitar and drum breakable in the boot so it a little more down then usual.

I'd be looking at sorting your exhaust tbh mate. Mines abit lower than 60mm and i have NO exhaust isues atall bar the downpipe catching the road

Yeah need to look and see why its catching. Coz I know people with a lot lower cars then mine that arent having the same problems as me. Also I got the loon to replace a mk2 caddy so I could fit more people in and atm cant take people in the back without catching.=\

Mate, the rear shocks on these lowering kits are adjustable... the spring seat screws up and down. Why not just adjust the rear abit to eradicate the reverse rake? Unless you've tried that already

i have got slight reverse rake aswell. my rears are adjustable but are on the highest setting!

probably just cut a coil on the fronts

So, doing more mileage for work now and need something that isnt going to need as much upkeep and encouragement to get going in winter, so I'm picking up this on Monday. Bora TDI Highline.

If anyone is interested in the polo get in touch. Will put upto date pics on and a proper ad when I've had chance to give it a clean.

Tax and test til Oct, Massive service history, lowered 80mm on ebay springs/shocks as in pics.

Issues:

Knock from pass side front, think its the joint on the lower wish bone to hub

Pass side rear top mount may have failed as the top of the shock is up inside the boot

Had an over heating issue, put some RadWeld in and it hasnt happened since.

I can also include some CBR600 carbs which I am told were jetted and running on a 1.4 Polo and a standard manifold. was going to do a home brew jobby but I'm no longer keeping the car. As well i bought some BMW bottle tops that need a refurb & tyres but will include with the car if anyone wants them.

Would like around £400 but try me.
