1991 Mk2 Jetta 1.3 SOLD! SOLD!

Featured Replies

Here we have for sale a 1991 Mk2 Jetta 1.3(Cheap Insurance!!!)

I have owned this car since January and looked after it really well, I'm only selling because I want to get a convertible and work on a new project. This car drives absolutely perfect with no knocking noises from the engine or crunching sounds at all! This car gets attention everywhere I go as now Mk2 Jettas are getting rare. (According to http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=jetta+cl there are only 59 left in the country) so extremely rare!!!

MOT - 02/07/2012

TAX – 31/01/2012

Engine 10/10

117k miles

Cambelt changed at 98k miles

It has undergone a full service just 2000miles ago which consisted of:

Air filter

Oil filter

Oil

Fuel Filter

Spark Plugs

Dizzy cap

Rotor Arm

Recently fitted exhaust back box from Essex Racing which makes the engine sound sweet, not too loud just perfect.

I only do motorway mileage, as I live in London on the weekends and in Coventry on the weekdays and commute to Coventry every Sunday and back down to London on Fridays and have been filling up Shell Vpower mixed with redex so the engine runs smooth as and turns over straight away at the turn of the key.

There is some service history but I'm sure the engine has been serviced regularly as it has never let me down since I've purchased it.

Exterior 8/10

This is the 90s spec so comes with big bumpers as standard.

The paintwork of the car is a metallic navy blue colour which in my opinion is perfect for this car; it’s different from most mk2s and gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. The exterior is mint apart from 1 minor rust spot on the front passenger side door, and a dint on the front offside wing. Other than that exterior is mint as you can see from the pictures and I have washed the car on a regular basis.

The door handle trims have been vinyl’d in carbon fibre which set them off beautifully.

Wheels, Tyres, Chassis 10/10

Brand new FK coilovers fitted 2 months ago with the helper springs removed at the front for more lows, will come with C spanners (still 70mm of thread left on rear coilovers).

The car will come on 15x7 Porsche Teledials with 25mm spacers which ultimately has an offset of -2.7 they are wrapped in 165/50/15 tyres which have been stretched and look ace! The tyres were bought brand new about 1000miles ago and have plenty of tread left on them.

Interior 10/10

The interior is mint with not rips or tears on any of the seats and the dashboard is completely mint! I fitted brand new black floor mats recently which really set the interior off. And there is no wear on the drivers bolster at all!

ICE and Security 9/10

There car is fitted with alarm system but has doesn’t really work properly, I'm sure it’s just a dodgy wire, I haven’t had time to check it out properly.

The car is fitted with an Alpine 9850Ri headunit with ipod connection that I have wired underneath the glove box. I have purchased new speakers which were meant to go into the rear shelf but have not had time to fit them in. They will be sold with the car.

Bad Points

Small rust patch on passenger side door

Rear drivers side door handle needs replacing (£10 ebay)

Small dint on front drivers side wing
