I have an e21 on classic policy and they said they couldn't insure my 86 polo mk2 as its not a classic?!

I recently had a quote for a g40 on classic insurance, my borther has an e plate volvo on classic insurance.

My question is how come the mk2 in general isn't viewed as a classic?

footman james wont insure a polo unless its over 30 years old... and some insurers dont class any polos as classic :(

Never had an issue with Lancaster putting mk2's on a classic policy, though they've always been Coupe S's, never tried a bready with them.

My old Coupe S was on a classic policy(1985) as is my BMW 635CSi(1989)

Both with RH.
PBIS insured mine as a classic even with the mods it has.
