decided to start a little thread here to show how my polo will slowly transform..i say slowly as I'm out of work so things are being done on a budget for now .

i bought a black 3 door 1.4 8v about 2 months ago completely standard had an engine change as the head gasket went on the old one so the essentials were changed like the water pump, cambelt, coilpack, etc..

anyway, so heres the car when i went to pick it up!

couple of shots of when i got home next to the old car..(also taking up the whole of the gf's parents drive lol)

first thing i did was give it a good clean and a polish, but had to roll round at standard height (which is terrible round corners) for about a week while i was waiting for the coilies to arrive.

unfortunately this is the only pic i have of when i changed the suspension over...ended up having to drill the front nuts off under the bonnet as they were rusted on..

how the car looked after they were fitted..whhey :-D . was really pleased but the tracking and camber was out majorly and about after a week or so the coilies decided to rip my front tyre apart and explode miles away from home.

bit more of up to date pics. got some wheels for the car at quite a good price but they have got a bit of curb marks so will prob have to get a refurb in time and when I've got the money.

and yeah haha was an experiment but has stayed for now..pops like a b*tch tho

They definitely suit the car, I'd say keep em! I'd say get some stretch on them, would look awesome,

haha I bet it does! Looking awesome in the 'laimsburys' (haha) pics too! Has really polished up well, what plans have you got next for the car

would 165/50 tyres give it a good stretch at all?

i did purchase a vr6 splitter at 3am this morning but am now thinking it might be a bit big and look out of place and I'm not really sure how to fit it to the car haha..

Awesome! Yer that should give you a nice bit of stretch, nothing major or stupid..

Lol cheers dude . I think they look tonnes better than the standard wheels. Only got them for 80 quid so not really a bad deal. Like the look of that stretch on you are wheels look ace. I was told my rims are 7j wide is this possible or they 6.5?

Did the mirror a while ago :). Not sure if I'm liking it tho. Spose I'm not really bothered as I don't see it when I drive lol

Bit of a small update, managed to fit a golf mk3 splitter that i had, does still need to be finished off on the edges as its not the right shape to fit the bumper but its on. Pics to follow shortly :)
