Hey guys i've found a set of dolomite sprint alloys that I think will look sweet on my mk4 polo.

only problem is that i know the polo stud pattern is 4x100

but i'm not sure what the offset is.

but these sprint rim are

35mm offset

Stud Diameter: 95.25mm

I'm just wondering if there is any thing in the form of adapters I could buy? I have a friend that has cookie cutter alloys on his 6n2 but I'm not sure what he's done to get them on, but I do know their 5 stud. I've also heard of things called wobble bolts for people putting mini alloys on their polo's but i think the fitment on those is 4x98?

bear with me though, I'm shit with cars but I'm doing the research :)

Hi buddy,

There are adaptors you can buy to convert stud patterns. Not sure if they are for that stud pattern, your best bet is having a look on ebay. You will need to get the centre bore right too, or use spigot rings to space it out.

Youre right about using wobble bolts on mini fitment wheels but then are only good for roughly 2mm difference in the stud pcd so are no use for these!

Another thing to think about is clearance of the brakes and obviously the offset. Remember the adaptors will also spacer the wheel out.

I'm not too clued up about offsets etc so hopefully somebody else can help you out there.

The wheels are 13" and 5.5j

I'm not sure how to work out the centre bore, is it literally the circumference of the round bit in the middle of the hub where the driveshaft nut is? And then compare it to the size of the hole on the alloy. I think they'll be alright being 13" wheels cause they polo steel wheels are 13" ? Or would it make a difference because of the other bits and bobs that are different on the dolomite alloys?

i had a set of these too, was going to file out the extra few mill and fit them but couldn't be assed lol (not sure how safe that would be either) would also need to drill them in the new holes so the stud can sit in it properly. if i remember right the centre bore needs to be drilled out a bit on them alloys to fit vw, not much though.

I'm not to handy with DIY so i would't trust my self doing that :( i took an angle grinder to a wheel hub before simply because I could't get the drive shaft bolt out !!

are there any other old school rims that fit nice onto polos that arnt too expensive like these sprint rims? :)
