Here we have for sale my Volkswagen Polo 16v, the car is a 1997 "P" reg, and has done just over 95k. It has MOT until July 27th 2012, and is taxed until the end of December. It was last serviced at 86k by me with new oil, air, and fuel filters, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor arm, ignition module, ignition leads and coolant temperature sensor. Has a Fahvergnugen tuning chip which has upped power slightly, and we suspect it has been cammed as it idles quite lumpy when cold, and is loud for a standard exhaust, definitely feels faster than my previous 16v. This cannot be confirmed though as we haven't had the rocker off to check. Only other modifications are a set of PI lowering springs that were on the car when i bought it, smoked side repeaters and black front an rear vw badges. Had a brand new full exhaust system after I bought the car in July last year, so as you can see has had money spent on it to keep it running well. The interior is very clean and even has the original VW mats, even though they are starting to look a bit tired.

Has a few bad points, the passenger side window mechanism doesn't work, the driver side is getting weak (common Polo problem), and a few points on the sill and rear arches both sides are starting to show signs of rust, nothing structural just requires a bit of tlc, and the passenger wing has a door dink from a 4x4 in it, I haven't even tried just pushing it out, as it is very minor! It will also come without the headunit and front speakers, a hole has been cut in the top of the doorcard for the tweeters so will be left open. Gearbox is starting to drone a bit, but I do have a spare I kept from my old car I will give the buyer, that ideally needs an overhaul (much cheaper than a 2nd hand box), and the centre cap has been put back on the wheel since the picture was taken.

Bear in mind I'm not asking a million pounds here, with a bit of tlc and effort will be a very tidy and straight 6n valver! I am selling as it has served its purpose as a cheap run around for me; I now require a diesel ideally to commute to and from my new place of work. Open to exchanges for cheap economical cars.

now just over 96k, has had both rear wheel bearings replaced and oddly enough that's where a lot of the transmission noise/drone was coming from, gearbox is nowhere near as bad as thought!

it's still here, just over 97k now, will be getting broken very soon if it doesn't sell, but i'd rather sell the car as a whole, just make me an offer!
