i need every thing to convert my 1 litre 4 speed box polo, need engine, 5 speed gear box ext ! dont want to be chopping and welding tho, so small block , eg gt , g40 or what ever will fit

my car is a 92 plate mk3 polo , as far as i was aware a gt and g40 swap was straight forward, as long as they are mk3s ?? iff now what would b the easiest swap ?

Engine drops straight in. Wiring on the other hand needs to be change.

Best bet is a straight 1.3 CL one. that will drop straight in and plug up just swap the ECU's.

surely its all plug and play? i.e. to convert a 92 1.0 polo to a gt you need everything from under the bonnet, including the loom which plugs in at the fuse box? (and the fuel pump)

As for gearboxes, 1.3's mainly had 5 speed boxes, but you can swap gearboxes around, so a 1l can be 4 or 5 speed, so can the 1.3 etc.

yes i realise the price differences are alot, and when i say like realitively easy for i swap i dont mean how hard it is for putting fings here and there, i mean by chopping an welding, dont want to b doin that really. my cars cost me alot of doller so far , this is the last stage. it was a bot of a dog when i got it

yes, thats y i could do wiv the full car, eg a write off ect , i mean i dont want to be cutting an welding ect

so to confirm, is it a mk2 or mk3?

Even if it is a mk2, you won't need to be cutting and welding unless you go for a g40, (space for the intercooler etc)

well its a 92 plate, i think ints more a mk2 mayb, every time i try and buy parts the sellers giv me wrong parts ect , i think its coz its the face lift model .
