Hi, i have a capri green vw polo 1.3Gt squareback, i bought it for the engine and box etc to go into a mk1, However i have looked on the how many left website, and according to that , there are only 75 left on the road, i am therefore having serious second thoughts about breaking it and i think it deserves to be saved. It is taxed until the end of december and mot'd until around july/august, it is not without its problems however, mainly welding. I could do the work myself, but i have a full garage and a t25 stuck in front of it , which is a non runner,

Bad bits

the welding it needs is behind the petrol filler neck , it will need a drivers sill and it will also need the inner sill tidying as it is bogged , all the arches have bubbles and will need attention, i have started to break it so theres a lot of interior trim missing mainly handles speaker covers and sunvisor, parcel shelf.it is on fox steel wheels with 165/70/13 tyres on and the rear bumper has been cut out for a towbar. it has the wrong seats and no doorcards or carpet, but i still have the originals so they will go with the car if the price is right.

Good bits - engines done 99k and it pulls like a train, its had lots of work done previously. it is my daily driver and never fails to start. It has a brand new petrol tank.

i haven't got any pictures , the car owes me £350 at present. The car must go to someone who will restore it and not break it.
