what year is your car mate, the relay board differs between phase 1 & phase 2 6ns :)

I'm not sure of the number on the relay, but if it is a relay fault, it sounds very much as if it could be the 'X' contact relay which is playing up. I believe that it is the fourth from the left on the top row.

iirc relay 191 is indicator flasher unit.

try shaking the whole fuse box and see if that has the same effect

what makes you think its a relay? is there a noise? are they hot?

i would chaeck the battery connections are tight. also that the battery is charged and there is enough electrolyte (water) inside the battery. also i would turn the lights on and start the engine and see if they get brighter when you rev the engine.
