Hi, before turning 17, i saved alot of money to buy and mod a VW Polo 6n2, after getting insurance quotes way into the thousands, i could only get a 1.0, and still pay £2000 for the insurance. but oh well, here she is! Hope you like it :)

Buying it at £1600... 68k full service history and good condition

I then put a debadged grill in place, HID's and Cades Euros 15" wheels on

Sweet car, just need to go lower IMO but I'm allergic to arch gap so it's up to you :)

not too keen on the wheels either. good start though.

Was all going well until that exhaust....

Good work on the rest though and really like the wheels

Liking it very much! But have to agree with the guys, the exhaust looks a bit weird, is there any way you could cut small recess in the bumper and maybe move it up so it sits better with the rest of the car? :D

Otherwise keep up the good work!

Thanks guys, i was thinking of lowering it abit more... but wasn't too sure, would cutting some recess out of the bumper and moving the exhaust up be alot of work?

I really like your wheels, how much did they cost you?

And about the spoiler, did the buy the boot with the spoiler because I'm looking to buy one but i thought the brake light bar was on the spoiler as well, so how did you fit yours?

i paid 500 for the wheels, with tyres and nuts...i modified the boot and debadged it... and bought the spoiler off ebay, then got my mechanic to get some really good glue :)

quite like this... i can understand people not liking the exhaust, but not the wheels they look mint!

Good progress mate.

How much did the bump stipes cost to get sprayed?

(If you dont mind me asking)

Thanks,

Pete.

That exhaust is bigger then the car!

Thanks,

Thanks, getting them sprayed wasn't a problem, i had to buy new ones as, as i pulled them off i slightly bent them, and to sand down i found they were a bit of a pain. so i bought completely new ones off VW for £250 for the lot. and i couldnt find any aftermarket ones, but i found it looks soo much nicer colour coded.

Thanks guys, i'm currently getting it lowered again, and smoothing the bonnet from where i debadged it. I'm also fitting a shark fin, because my surfboard has broke 2 Ariels now, and its starting to get quite expensive. the exhaust wasn't exactly what i wanted, i wanted a smaller one, but the same shape and for it to be fitted into the bumper, but never mind. that's a project for another day.

was it easy to match the paint up when you smoothed the boot? cause I'm scared stiff of spraying parts of the body incase i make a pigs ear of it haha

This looks nice mate, good work so far!

I personally don't like stickers but each to their own,

Think the wheels look lovely and the exhaust isn't that bad!

Good work mate.

I like it, lovely colour :D

Love this! Just not to keen on grill, should get a honeycomb one :) then it would be spot on!

i no longer can get a badged grill, because i've welded up the recess from the boot so its smooth... if there is a debadged honeycomb grill then i would deffinately get one, but i cant seem to find one :/

i got some help with the painting, as i didn't want to ruin it, we just matched up paints to get a match, then just blew it in. but i think you can just buy the Mercatoblue paint from somewhere.
