hi all, had a mini progress blog before but thought i would make a actual one basically i passed my test in june and my parents gave me a 1.2 2000 plate punto, but i had always wanted a vw and liked the mk3 coupe soo a month or 2 later i bought this one.

Its a 1.3 8v MPI (nz) for £700, well swapped the punto for it

started off with little bits got a momo team wheel 300mm as the car was already lowered so saved me farting about

also came with a graphic equalizer

i decided to get rid of the standard steels for a change so i bought some 13x7 and 13x8 wellers

but the police started too like me too much - as much as i like the stretch and questions about tyres falling off i had to get rid so i decided to get some starmags would be my next option, simply because i saw so many comments about people saying they dont suit mk3s so i thought id be one of a small bunch running them

on the drivers side the the rear wheel tucks an inch more than the passenger side so looks a bit strange i know and the fronts poke a bit but have slight stretch to get the trad under the arch..

the wheel fitment needs playing around with some spacers up back etc but not going to be doing that till after christmas

future plans include fitting a new valnce bit under the grill as mine is damaged tidy up the rear arches after i decided to beat the shit out of them, fix my exhaust brackets which is in progress at the moment.

then the AFH conversion is 100% on the cards so that will be my 2012 plan, simply so i can out do every nob in a corsa/saxo at the lights, and add a bit of value to the car.

People that don't know polos fronts stick out tend to have a nice little um arr and a winge! They were mate and actually sat really nice. Unfortunately not I put them up for sale on here with no interest so I sold them on edition a few weeks ago bud. The starmags are a little curbed on the back, but I think I may have OCD they've been on 2 weeks and polished 3 times

Starmags you know it's right! Mine are 4x100 luckily aswell

oooh an NZ friend liked it with the wellers but yeah they will always poke on the front, oh yeah tell your mate with the s14 or s14a (cant see front end in pics) it needs lowering :p

Random question but if you could change the offset on the front wheels what do you think you would go for that would look right with the backs as they are (with no spacers), maybe et 40 or something

No i mean the offset on the mags, if you could change it what would you change it to, to achieve a better stance.

Et15 maybe but wouldn't be possible They really aren't that bad in the flesh at all.

Reason i ask is that i was looking on the bay and you can get the mags on there with the pcd and offset you require included in the price

Ah fair doos, you would loose the concave and overall look of the starmag though.
