WHAT THE ACTUAL FU...

i think it might be, that was pretty special tbh

abit sad hes devoted his whole life to it, but still pretty damn special

Wow

absolutly fantastic work, saw this vid at college. theres one of a guy who build a fully functioning scaled down model of a ferrari 312

it was featured on topgear

Holy cow. Now that's what call skills, these miniature engines fascinate me, they sound cool too.

needs a supercharger

Hes got some skills :o gettin the concentric offset to do the high and low parts on that crankshaft between centers must have been fun lol

It's the file work he did afterwards that amazd me.

How's he igniting the fuel?

I think he's just spinning it with compressed air.

Probably not petrol, diesel or an equivalent?

8-) skills! is that the engine to that ferrari thats like 30cm long and runs?

that was a flat 12.....

thats awesome, he must have some patience!! i get fed up trying to clock something up concentric in a 4 jaw chuck, let alone making a cam or crank! fair play!

That's crazy man, makes my job seem so easy.

unbelievable!

Imagine making a two stroke so small. It would be very straightforward (comparatively) until you realised you needed to make transfer ports in the barrel.

I think he's just spinning it with compressed air.

How could he be doing that though? What would it be acting upon? It does look like it though...

Little bitch

Spin it by hand to start with then the air pressure helps the moentum carry it on. Wouldn't have thought the bores are totally gas tight because I didn't see any rings.

i made a steam engine once, and that ran with compressed air, the thick oil used on assembly kept enough of an air tight seal to keep it running :) just a little spin to get it going and would keep going

I've heard of a special diesel mixture for RC cars which ignites itself under high compression so its possible he's using that?

FUCKING GENIUS though 8-)8-)8-) The shit people get up to when they're retired  Brilliant!

It sounds like it's firing though in the video.

Pretty amazing nonetheless

Crazy bloke!

load of shit he missed off the pison rings, but seriously thats crazy

i dont think i could cope with the stress of making a crank.
