if a speed camera doesnt flash but you think you were going a little bit too quick does that mean you've not been caught?

Also,

If you drive past a car that looks like an un-marked police car (it was an audi pulled up on a banking) can they use a speed gun on you and send it in the post or would he have to put his blue's and two's on to give you a ticket?

Need to know as I'm a little worried

I'm sure the only ones that can use a gun are the mobile speed vans, an unmarked car must blues and twos you i may be wrong.

No if it doesnt flash then you are fine i had this i went past one at 40 in 30 zone and it turns out most camera or disabled or dummy ones so it did not flash me!

also the police have to pull you over a prove it first they cant just send u a ticket !

Cheers for the answers. Only worried as I was going about 32mph in a 30 and didn't see the camera as I was still in motorway mode. But it defiantly didn't flash. Gunna ask my girlfriends parents tomorrow as they are both police but atleast I'll be able to sleep a
