i wouldnt know what the sony one is like.... but the update is rather boring, i dont want to watch videos on my xbox, i certainly wouldnt if they make it a paid service but i dont know if it is or not / care

The TV that my Xbox is plugged into sits right next to my PC monitor so the whole YouTube/iPlayer etc update is useless to me.

The ps3 has had all of those and much much more for ages Toby, Microsoft are playing catch up to Sony by the sounds of it

My computer is wank, like it cant play anything on iplayer as it should, jumps all over the place. Laptop isnt much better.

I know i wont have that problem with the xbox.

And the lovefilm thing. Same goes, i cant use it on the pc, and it now means i dont have to wait for the dvd's to come in the post. Although theres not a great deal on the online thing on there atm :( dare say it will grow.

Which won't matter if your internet connection allows you to stream movies in HD. If anything the Xbox has everything better than the PS3 now, minus the stupid update times of course.

Reason i have an xbox over a ps3.... It has better games, and the controller is far far better.

Up yours PS3 users! Sony may have taken its time getting to adding on demand services I'll admit, but they were concentrating on other things such as a vastly superior (and millions of times more secure) online gaming network and the Kinect which just about pisses on everything out there!

Navigating through menus and selecting stuff either through voice commands or pretending you're in Minority Report, what's more awesome than that!

Also tubs seems as you mentioned it. my mate rushed out and got the new iPhone the day it came out, he was dancing around like a kid at Xmas going on about how amazing his new talking phone was, he then tried to demonstrate this by telling it to call me. After the 5th time of it trying to email his daughter instead he got the hump, blamed back ground noise (which there wasn't any) and left the room

Only seems any good for bragging about down the pub, I'd rather just enter my phone book and press call tbh, much less chance of accidentally calling your mum when trying to get a Russia sex line.

If you wanna sit and chill you just use the controller. Its when you dont wanna sit and chill, and are drunk, when it becomes a million times better than a controller ever could be.

And seriously, if more people had a kinect and sports games, most people wouldnt be the fat nice people they are atm.

It's not the Wii remote that puts me off, its having to be physical when I'm trying to relaxe, which is the only reason I play games. If i wanted to get physical in front of a tv screen I'd do some thing more rewarding than playing video games
