Hey there, i been on the forum for a little while now, and i thought i best start a build thread for my polo, I'm starting to get more money so more will proberly get done, I'm only 16 so this is my project for when i can drive :) I started off with a 6n but it was 5 door and a really gay blue colour, so i thought id attempt to get a new one, and funnily enough i found this beauty, it has its bad points, but its the polo I've always wanted so i dont really mind :)

first day i got it, you can see my old polo in the background

couple more pics from when i first got it :)

now for what I've done, mainly external at the moment

cleaned the engine up a little bit

got me some wheels but the bolts off my current ones are too small, so there sat in a pile in my room at the moment :')

tinted rears and pissed about with badges

Clear fronts and gt badge :')

i plan to lower it and clean up a few more bits over christmas :)

updates will come as i do them :)

Get rid of the GT badges because it aint a GT but other from that its all good .. with those wheels and the correct ride height

thats a nice base mayte to start modding with my first car was exactly the same as urs i loved it once it was finished :) keep posting with updates

I'm sorry chap but I totally agree with this comment, loose the GT badges until you actually chuck a GT engine in it. The rest of the mods look tasteful though and should turn out well with a nice drop. Cant say I like nor understand turning badges upside down?? but looking forward to further progress.

its been a fair while since I've updated this, i haven't had the money, my record label has taken all of that :') i over christmas manage to get the bbs fitted ! and i also managed to fuck up my stickering :') sadly over the winter, all wipers and fluids died, and my exhuast is hanging on by not much, heres an update pic, i personally think the wheels look lush

i also personally like those gt badges, sorry guys :')

bodywork and paintwork look almost mint! saw the dints on the passenger door as i was typing wheels go well with the colour too, but yeah needs lowering and personally i wouldnt put a gt badge on my polo but at the end of the day it is only a couple of letters that are completely meaningless to everyday people, apart from the people on here that is

Yeah gt makes it more of a attraction to pikeys though so no need to display something it's not. And slammed sticker at that height?

LOVE the wheels their spot on! And the body work is clean as well. As like mine being white it shows every little patch of rust

sorry for the lack of replies been away ! the slammed sticker was there when i got it, i do now have a lowering set I'm just yet to fit it ! I'm kinda skint so cant afford to do it, sadly I'm a fan of the gt badges :p sadly not much else has been done with it, as soon as it has, pictures will be uploaded, i did buy a lupo as a project for my girlfriends first car, but i cant be arsed with that now, so hopefully selling it for a mk1 golf, i will add that project to this when it happens :)

i agree with the comments about the badges as well lol! why put gt badges on a car that isn't gt :/ just makes you look silly! other than that its a nice tidy motor!

Head Gasket has gone, and after a few days of rattle can painting its died :'D so progress will stop here, but heres some updated photos!

Wow hadnt realised i hadnt updated in a year! well i brought this Polo for its bumper and a few other panels etc which are a bit straighter than mine, so i will be stripping this and putting all the good stuff on mine.

I've also had mine run through the MOT all new everything brake wise and the new suspension fitted. And I've also managed to fully wire these speakers into the door cards, I'm not 100% on how they look, but they will do for the time being.
