Hello,

Does anyone know if i can put GTI bumpers from a 2000 polo on my 1998 polo?

If not what over bumpers could i use?

If your looking for a straight swap 16v bumpers are your best bet... however,

You can fit the front end of a 6n2 gti to a 6n but everything needs to be changed, crash bar, radiator, wings, headlights, indicators etc... it's quite a job!

The 6n2 rear won't fit 6n at all without a lot of modification because the body shape is slightly different at the back and it's different where the bumpers meet with the arches.

Best bet is 16v bumpers :)

Or you could cut the top half of a 6n2 bumper and join it 2 the top half of a 6n bumper

so if i go and buy a set of 2001 16v polo bumpers will they fit straight on?

6ns ended b4 2000 so you would need pre 2000 bumpers 6n not 6n2

Lol the sport version on the 6n is 16v this is the 1 wit the big plastic bumpers the 6n2 is a face lift version on the 6n its a complete differnt car with differnt everything

Above is my 6n with a 16v bumper b4 I change to a 6n2 front this is the bumper u need and u will also need the rear you can get them on eBay or check the for breaking section on here
