wanting a vrs but insurance is sky high, could i replica a vrs if i bought a 1.4 tdi fabia 2006

I've phoned dealer he said i can get vrs parts and sprayed from them but would front bumper and rear fit?

any thoughts? thanks

I'd assume you would get the VRS calipers? they don't sell the paint for it and therefore make a refurb on used calipers difficult unless you get some paint made up. nearest off the shelf stuff is Hammerite Smooth Green, they haven't made that colour for years but some turn up on Ebay, or just paint them red.

It's not always that easy though. Lupo SE to Lupo GTI for example

VRS is "just" different bumpers, wheels, brakes and the PD130 compared to a normal Fabia.

Much easier than some other cars. Been a few vRS estates done on Briskoda.

Not with the right insurers.. a lot of specialists will not increase your premium for most cosmetic changes.

How close an approximation do you want? Just bumpers and alloys? Straight swap there, but be careful as there are facelift and non-facelift bumpers so try and get ones that are the right age for the car. VRS suspension springs are also a straight swap but the 1.4 TDI weighs alot less so the eibach kit for the 1.4/1.9 PD100 would be a better bet.

The front brakes use different hubs for the 288mm discs, the vrs also has rear discs.

But generally it is more expensive to insure with those insurers anyways! Insurance is a rip off either way.

^^ not right mate, I'm with Flux and they were £400 cheaper than anyone else and will let me do cosmetic mods very, very cheaply.
