256mm (16v) brake conversion to 8v

Featured Replies

Hey,

Looking to get some bits to put 256mm brakes on my 6n which is an 8v, so I need to change the hubs too.

Just wondering if I can only use polo ones, or if corrado/golf ones can be used?

I know the calipers etc will bit, but will these hubs fit the 6n?

cheers

shafts will.

track rods will.

all brake bits will.

just the balljoints I'm unsure off, rado's have a spindle, polos are the bolt on top type.

yeah thats what i thought, and didnt know if it didnt have different offsets/trackrod heights etc

I got some mk2 golf 16v girlin (sp) calipers in my garage that may be for sale pretty cheap...

I've got a complete 16v Polo hub and brake setup ready for a conversion which is no longer needed...only thing is the calipers have been painted blue

My car is blue... How much? I was planning on blasting and painting parts and putting a seal kit in calipers

Well they cost me £60...so erm £60?

Haven't touched them since I bough them.

PM me and I'll get you pictures.
