right the diffs gone on my 1998 1.4 8v 6n and from what I've been told volkswagen changed the box for the r reg. something about a gear linkage. i cant a gearbox anywhere so is there any way of changing the linkage on another 1.4 8v box? been off the road for 3 months now and I'm lost without the dub! please help

You can't convert a cable box to rod or visa versa, however you can change your car around, I have a cable and a rod box, changing linkages is a doddle, I changed box and linkages sat night in 3 hours easily.
