Hiya guys, I'm not sure if this question has been asked on here before, I'm sorry if it has been and I'm just repeating it but;

Just wanted some advice on whether on not it would be possible to fit the climatronic heater control unit from a 6N2 polo GTi into a standard polo 1.0L.

Would it be plug and play?

What parts would I need for it all to work properly?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It may well be possible to fit this system BUT they do take quite a bit of power and in the end, you could find yourself under powered in a 1.0L model.

Cheers for the reply mate, I've got a second battery with a split charge kit running in my car that used to power my old subs and amplifier. They were really powerful along with 2 sets of speakers run by a second amp. Will this help contribute to the power?

you need the entire heater box and motor setup from a gti, the panel and the loom as a minimum

Cheers for the advice dude. So Even if I dont want AC, I just literally want the standard cold/hot air to work. Would it still work with the panel and loom?

not sure if it would be easier to fit the regular AC over climate?

also its not the battery the runs the Air con pump, its run directly off the engine which puts further load on the engine so a split system won't make a difference.

Imagine your 50hp 1 litre to have around 40 with air con on.

I was thinking about just leaving the AC pump, and just having the normal hot/cold air control, thought that would save all the stress of air con wiring and what not.

I think I'll probably just leave my unit the way it is, just liked the idea of an electrical climate unit. Seems to be way too much work for my little Slow-low.

The climatronic system is made to work with ac. It could work without, but there is not really any poin not to mention the cost and time involved. But it can be done
