I recently bought a set of these chrome wheel trims...

And bought a set of steel whees from an early mk1 golf to attach them to that look like this...

However, the trims didn't sit against the wheel properly. The inner of the wheel (the area in the yellow circle on the picture further down this post) stuck out too far from the edge of the wheel (area in the red circle on the later picture) so didn't sit tight.

After asking around I am certain i now need a set of these wheels

But ones so that the area in the red and yellow circles are closer together. So 5.5j?? I'm not too sure. Help me out if you can.

And I apologise for the stupid diagram and use of pictures but I've had so many people telling me I need the wrong wheels and sizes that I have no other way to explain my point! Please don't get sarcastic and clever with me just help me out if you have a genuine answer and can tell me what size and style of steel i need!!

this guy on ebay had a set for sale last week. might be worth messaging him. he breaks a lot of mk1 golfs so might still have a set
