Got a big leak coming in passenger footwell, it was sopping wet this morning,

I did the hose test and there was water coming over the bottom of my door seal (i could see it from inside the car)

Is this my door seals that need replacing?

or something else?

could be your heater matrix leaking i have noticed water in the same place not got round to looking at it as my head gasket has gone

Check to see if there's any breaks in the foam insert behind the doorcard - mine's ripped and the silicone/sealer at the bottom has been torn away so it pours in over the door seal!

heater matrix is fine as car still warms up loads

Changed the door seal today, No change, still sodden.

Just waiting for the membrane from a dealer now, (£8 a side, not too bad to be fair)

if that doesnt work I'm stumped :/

i had this problem. need a new pollen filter mate, that sorted mine :) hope this works

I've got a mate who used to work for renault, So he got in touch with the parts dept. Who then got in touch with the VW main dealership, Who are sending me them down from Scotland!

Maybe windscreen seal mate, I've got that problem with mine and in runs down behind the dash and into the passenger footwell, if you can see it coming in right next to the heater blower or underneath it, then that may be same place,

Could be that, bitch of a job though!
