Just wondering if anyone has stripped any phase 2 6n clocks to the pannel with all the warning lamps.

I want to diable a few (such as oil pressure)

Id imagine they are bulbs soldered to a circuit board?

you mean LEDs?

They are soldered on.Just heat then up and remove them

Why do you want to remove them?

I'm running a different oil pressure warning, but the one in clocks just beeps and flashes due to no ecu (carbs) so ill remove the light and buzzer.

i mean the small pannel of warning not the illum (abs, airbag, handbrake etc) will i need to bridge them when the bulbs are removed?

To stop the light you wouldn't need to bridge them, but the buzzer would still sound. Does the indicator ticking sound come from the same buzzer? If not then just remove it.

ill have a play, i just wanted some basic advice as i dont wanna ruin my clocks haha! hard to get to the said panel?

It's a little tricky, but if you take your time then it will be okay.

You would have to remove the needles and the LCDs

Word of waning, when removing the LCDs try and keep the ribbons attached to the glass part, it's not the end of the world if they separate but they might not reconnect properly and would mean having to take them out again and redo them.

Also when putting the needles back on, put them on slightly then rotate them backwards until you feel resistance thn keep going until they are back to zero. They should then work as normal.

so basically you strip as though i was changing the plate with numbers etc on?

Ill have a go over xmas if i can find some patience, might fit fuel needle slightly different place so its actually accurate haha

Yeh, as of you where changing the dials, and then there are some screws holding everything together at the back.

Yeh, but settin the fuel guage to full doesn't actually mean the tank is full. Trust me .... I've tried. Lol

If you manage to do it harris chuck up a sticky with pics mate as could be useful.

try earthing the normal oil pressure sensor wire. should stop it flashing + buzzing bro

twist the nedle anti clockwise slightly then pull up. should come off

Eric won't work mate Iv tried fuck loads of combinations of solutions haha, need got them off yeah, was just checking! Pretty easy to work on, just the displays for miles/clock are a bit delicate
