Recently when driving home after purchasing my Audi S3 the left Bose speaker began to crackle. I thought I was going to be in a real pickle for a short amount of time, but being an engineer I managed to come up with the solution of fading the volume away from that side. It really was touch and go for a few minutes but I'm glad I've come throught it all un harmed.

Pikey fix or what?!?!?!

i had a mk3 bready and the exhaust dropped off when i went over a speed hump at my old college, oh the embarrassment well luckily i had an old rope in my car to use till i got to where i worked for a while and got 2 free hangers, win!!

strongbow can and exhaust paste to stop exhaust blowing..

Never used that to get home.

Get through a test on the other hand :ninja:

fuel pump relay died on the g40...... used the live off my headunit to run the fuel pump..... got me home!!

also done the whole string and throttle cable trick expect mine went through the sunroof !!

Well.....

I've been at the scene of a few good bodges, Controling the wipers from the rear seat with paracord in a 106 (got bloody soaked!)

The stupid clips on saxo rear windows snapped so used a 3 satnav suction cups and a whole load paracord to make sure it didnt fall out.

Having to cut a mini out every time it we wanted to change gear as the clutch master cylinder had gone on it. (Stop start traffic was bloody hilarious)

Manged to get from scotland to derby in a mk2 golf with mk2 polo 145's on the back end of it in the rain. (Thats quite scary)

Not much of a bodge job but when i lowered the polo and left work 3 times the exhaust backbox came off from the fucking speed bumps lol. Now it's held up by a metal coat hanger tied to the rear axle beam lol pretty good seeing that it's lasted me just over 3000 miles... so far :p

snagged my fuel lines on a cats eye somewhere in the middle of cumbria about 250 miles from home, fixed it with a bit of brake pipe and two jubilees that i had in the door pocket! :-D

best bodge i was involved with, was fixings jacks caddy engine mount with a ratchet strap at e38. Reckons he drove it about like that for ages!

Hahah i remember that, to be fair knowing jack he's probably still driving it around like that

Fuel tank holed so jerry can on roof using washer fluid line as fuel hose.

Shock top mount broken in this picture. It didn't get fixed just cut the wheel arch out with an axe.

Gear selector rod totally fucked, so only 4th and 2nd (not even neutral), fixed with a 12mm socket and some tape.

No idle as carb rubber disintegrated, misfiring constantly, steering knacked, lights fell out (LOL).

Too much to list really, even the horn stopped working.

Basically only the front wipers where working properly at the end.

hahahaha ^ thats epic

sunroof? god that would have been even worse as you would have to drop the string to change gear

Agree with this. Not so much a "get you home" but a "drove home frome work with it clanging and after returning from the pub half cut it'd be a good idea" fix

It has stopped pissing it down so thought itd be a good time to get it hooked up. I have now broken the priper mount so double fed the coat hanger through the box section, twisted it to hold the exhaust rubber back in the right place and rehung the exhaust.

Will see tomorrow (later today depending how you look at it) how it actually works! =)

exhaust hanger tied up with a guitar string

toe eye got pulled out of it's threads so looped a rope around a part of the chassis, it bent and the radiator fell out. it's now cable tied onto the car :D

drove 10 mile with a broken windscreen taped onto the car

toed the car at 70mph while it was snowing one night too haha

all fun n games

most of my cars have had the old cable tidy'd radiator haha.

I was more surprised that he hadn't crashed it. When he got out of it to look at the radiator he could barely walk he was that pissed

You only need two things in life, zip ties and WD40. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40, otherwise use zip ties 8-)

I hung my mk3 saloon exhaust back up with some thick earth wire. drove away on holiday for 5 days with it then ran it for another month untill i sold the car with no problems !

^^ completely agree, either dekoy is the result of special relationship between his mother and her brother or he is lying.

in other news, the missus bought a haynes essential car tool kit. comes with a stanley knife, screwdriver, adjustable wrench and cable ties. they know how bodgers roll 8-)
