the vrs estate is a sound choice, goes 1mph faster than the hatchback and a few kg lighter due to the longer body changing the weight balance enough to remove the ballast they put in the hatch to keep that balanced.

with 20k i would buy a mint karmann ghia or a bug or an old mini maybe a split barndoor with plenty of power

Nout much, I'd just want something different. Little bit rattly, poor engine mounts, exhaust and driving position. Cracker for b-roads though.

If it was my £20k - then i'd buy:-

SKODA FABIA VRS S2000 DSG Limited Edition

£14k for it - 1.4 180bhp - Spend the other £6k on coilovers, Rotiform 8x17's, upgraded brakes and shed load of tuning parts - this engine has already seen 285bhp

That looks like a Korean granny wagon, you'd have to be crazy to blast 20k on some thing like that
