stripped out mk2/3's, interior shots.

Featured Replies

Getting stuff slowly done on the Eaton mk2 coupe build, but i'm going for a stripped out interior. Only having dash, seats, and fuel cell in the back, with 6 point roll cage. but i need some ideas of where to place other bits and bobs, and weather to keep the front carpet in or not.

so just a small request for any mk2 or mk3's breadvan or coupe with stripped out insides.

cheers

If i were you joel id just whack 2 buckets in with harnesses, maybe remove the front carpet/sound deadening too 8-)

could always keep the tank where it is and make a lightweight false floor around it so it looks sorta sunk in?

My favourite is Mr Yoofs....

i'm going to be running a spare wheel in this car, just to keep a little bit of weight at the back (can always remove it for track and strip use) as i'm going to be running polycarbonate plastic windows.

The carpet is staying, the sound deadening is already out :)

the roll cage when built up will look very similer to yoofs with the X-section at the back.

i'm just wondering the layouts of what others have done thats all :)

i meant the black one matt posted up, sorry haha, would be good to see a build thread for yours though yeah!

Why not the gti Eric? It makes more power as standard than an Afh.

Love that at though. How are the arches achieved?

the hybrid of the two is suppost to create more torque than the 1.4 afh on its own hence the suggestion however if you would like to know exactly why this is suggested may i suggest speaking to either saf or mikeymk as these two people are imo the most qualified in such subjects as for stripping a mk3 it takes less then 15 mins as we proved at action this year when i was about to go down the strip

it was harder to put it all back in dude but it definatly made it worth it, it wasnt very comfortable coming back from the strip when i was sat in the back lol

Can this thread be cleaned up of all the crap and get back on track?

Done! :)
