Hi, I've got a 1.4 3dr golf mk3 1995 that id like to swap for anything really as long as its working ok and not about to run out of mot. i would prefer an estate but try me.

DETAILS:

118500 Miles

mot and tax till mid may

3dr

bergundy (dark red)

really mint like new steelies

tinted rear lights (basicly gti lights)

black badges

electric sunroof with no leaks

man powered windows and steering

1.4 petrol currently doing 25 miles a day of motorway and city centre driving and getting between 41 and 44mpg.

lots of service history, last owner was an old guy who worked as a mechanic and so the car was very well cared for.

cambelt been done less than 6 months ago

just changed coolant

oil is lovely and clear and never goes down or leaks

engine wise the car is probably the best running condition i have come across for a 1995 car.

BAD BITS:

NEEDS A TEMPERATURE SENSOR, i have just changed coolant for winter and it was fine but i did it on the spare of the moment so didnt have chance to buy a sensor. basicly the car does not overheat ever, all it does is only go half way to normal temperature, its been like this since i got it and I've never had a problem i can tell when the engines warm by turning the blowers on. i sit in traffic everyday and its fine never ever overheats and fan kicks in when its suposed to.

RUST, its a massive shame this and its the only reason i want to swap or sell as i just dont have the time, patience and enough skill to sort it, all though id love to as the cars mint. there is a little surface rust on both front arches and a small amount on the rears and the boot lid. most of its just normal surface rust which isnt really a problem but at the bottom of the drivers side arch i put my finger through it the other day so it needs sorting or just two arches buying.

no rust in boot or floor pans or engine, cosmetic body rust on the exterior only!

To sum up the car drives great, drives like new, body work apart from rust is excellent, better than most cars a year old! and interior is also like new.

the car also looks awesome.

i will clean the car tomorrow and take some pics.

I'm geniune and have listed every bad bit, car can be collected from my home or i can meet somewhere if needed.

I'm open to swaps with estates, vans, anything reliable but preferably vag but try me.

just had a look at paperwork and i have service history till 2001, loads of mot certificates and on the last mot it had no advisorys, next ones due mid may and all tyres are still like new, no rattles or knocking and all lights, locks etc work fine and gearshifts are like a new car.

i do not have proof of the cambelt doing but it was bought from a 60+ year old mechanic who was obsessed with it been looked after, had a look at the cambelt myself and its really thick and looks brand new to me.
